Toxic ingredients you won't find in Noosh Natural Products

Part of Noosh Naturals mission is to raise awareness towards ingredients in cosmetics as well as personal hygiene products. Knowing what is in our cosmetics as well as how these ingredients were derived are important in empowering consumers to be proactive about their health and not just to believe the marketing pitch. Being educated consumers is vital in this day and age where we are constantly exposed to a barrage of chemicals in our daily lives that put us in higher risk of developing issues in the long run. Being able to identify red flag ingredient and avoiding them is something we should all learn to do.



Here at Noosh Naturals, we are committed to give you only the safest products by doing as much research on each ingredient we use. We only sell what we are confident ourselves in using every day.


Here are some common ingredients that you will find in products OTC but not in Noosh Naturals products.


  1. Benzoyl peroxide – used commonly in acne products as it is fast and effective in combating acne however Some research shows that it causes oxidative stress to cells which can later lead to DNA damage.

  2. Dioxin – Used in anti- bacterial like Triclosan, emulsifiers, PEG’s and SLS. Research has stated that it may cause cancer in humans.

  3. Parabens – chemicals with the name Methyl, Butyl, Ethyl in them, these are usually found in preservatives. While research has not conclusively proved they are cancerous, these chemicals are absorbed and can mimic estrogen hormones. (High estrogen level has been linked to cancers)

  4. Synthetic Colors and pigments – These chemicals are derived from TAR! They are known carcinogens and can wreak havoc on the human immune system.

  5. SLS / SLES - Strong surfactants that strip the skin of moisture and can cause excessive drying.

  6. Avobenzone, Benzphenone, Ethoxycinnanamate, PABA – there are chemical sun screens and All have been shown to have some carcinogenic effects.

  7. Phthalates- Shown to reduce sperm count in lab rats.

  8. Disodium EDTA – Used to increase shelf life of products, however toxic if overly exposed

  9. Perfume – Synthetic chemicals which produce smell. Can cause headaches, allergy and asthma.

  10. Aluminum dioxide- (usually found in deodorants) Linked to Alzheimer’s and cancer.
